Puzzle Quest 3 Announced To Release Later This Year

It’s just been a week since 505 Games have acquired Infinity Plus two, Puzzle Quest developers, and we can already see what the plans for the future were. Today, 505 Games has announced Puzzle Quest 3, which will release on multiple platforms later this year.

Puzzle Quest 3 Details

Puzzle Quest 3 will be a direct follow up of Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords, released way back in 2007. It is the third main entry in the hybrid role playing puzzle game series.

As of now, not many details with regards to Puzzle Quest 3 has been revealed yet. But based on the teaser and few bits of information officially confirmed, what we know so far is that the story of Puzzle Quest 3 takes place around 500 years after the original Puzzle Quest. The game will feature gem-crushing, head-to-head puzzle battles, and a ‘twist on traditional puzzle gameplay.’

Steve Fawkner, CEO of Infinity Plus Two, said that fans have been demanding for the next installment of Puzzle Quest for almost a decade now, and their team is more than thrilled to finally reveal Puzzle Quest 3. The idea for Puzzle Quest 3 has been in the making for years, and like any good Puzzle Quest game, it a delicate balance of gameplay, story, and puzzle-solving alongside new surprises that is sure to appeal to both old and new fans.

Puzzle Quest 3 Will Be Free-To-Play

Another big update regarding the game that has been revealed by 505 Games is that unlike the previous games in the series, Puzzle Quest 3 will be a free-to-play. However, no details about the in-game monetization system have been provided yet, but we expect optional in-app purchases.

When will Puzzle Quest 3 Release?

The third mainline edition in the popular puzzle RPG – Puzzle Quest 3, is currently in development for multiple platforms. The publisher, 505 Games, announced that the game would release across mobile, PC, and Consoles later this year.
