NCSOFT announced AION 2 all the way back in 2018. Since then players have been waiting in anticipation; the good news is the developers are finally planning to release the game sometime in 2022.

All we know about AION 2
As the name suggests the game is a successor to the popular MMORPG franchise in name , which was announced all the way back in 2018. The game will feature an open world; but will be set a few years before the first one starts.
NCSOFT to go for a global launch
Korean games usually focus on a regional launch for their games and see how it performs in that limited market; according to those statistics and the global demand for the game they decide whether to launch the game in the global market or not. Â
But this time NCSOFT has decided to take the global approach and make AION 2 available worldwide; none of this is confirmed as of yet.
When does AION 2 release?
As far as news on the release goes there is no official release date. But from NCSOFT’s shareholder conference meet the game will come out sometime during 2022. We will update our articles as soon as more information is disclosed on the topic.
