Smash Legends is an action game from LINE Games that promises a ton of fast-paced action, fun and multiplayer thrill with just 3 minutes of gameplay. The game blends in fast-paced multiplayer brawls, tons of actions, fairy-tale characters, and outstanding graphics, which will leave you wanting for more after every battle. Let’s find out if the game lives up to its promises or fails to deliver it.
The Gameplay
Smash Legends involves you battling out against other players in a battlefield with the goal of smashing and your opponents before the timer hits zero. The game comes with a variety of modes which include 3v3 team battles, 1v1 duel, 4 player battles, and an eight-player battle royale, with each battle lasting a total of three minutes.
The characters in the game are also based on classic stories and fairy tales, with each character wielding a weapon unique to itself. All characters have three unique attacks and jumping ability, the first attack is the basic attack, while the other two are special ones that become stronger as you level up. Each character also has combos unique to themselves, as such you have to experiment, combine and plan out strategies based on the character selected and the mode you are playing. You have to learn how to deliver effective combos and attacks, and also learn to work with the other players to ensure victory for the team. As you play along and make progress, you will get to unlock new characters and upgrade existing ones, get access to new modes and arenas and reap rewards and bonuses.

The Controls
Smash Legends is quite easy to learn, and this is further helped by its intuitive and slick controls. There is a virtual joystick on the bottom-left part of the screen, for moving your character in the desired direction, and four buttons on the bottom right part of the screen, with one for the basic attack, one for jumping, and the other two for special attacks with the special attacks coming with a cooldown timer. The controls are quite simple, but you have to learn how to use them together in an effective manner to get the most out of your characters.
The Graphics
Smash Legends, as its name suggests, comes with smashing graphics and is definitely one of the best aspects of the game. The characters are colorful, well-illustrated, sharp, and very pleasing to look at, and this is the same for the battlefield and its environment, which carry the same level of quality and attention to detail. The mechanics of the character while performing its attacks during the fast-paced battles are also fluid, seamless, and display excellent in-game physics. Smash Legends comes baked with a pretty flawless graphical interface, and this is definitely one of its strong points.

In Conclusion
In my time with the game, I found Smash Legends to be a very likable and playable multiplayer action game, and there’s not much to complain about it. The gameplay being limited to 3 minutes makes its very accessible and playable; however, its fast-paced nature might become intimidating for some players.
Learning the right combo and strategy for your characters also requires a bit of experimentation and time; however, this can be solved as you continue playing the game. Smash Legends has a lot of good things going for it, and this is further helped by its superb graphics and intuitive controls. All things said, Smash Legends is definitely one of the better multiplayer action games for mobile, and deserves a generous recommendation. It is available for free both on Google Play and AppStore.
