Bullet Echo is a tense, fast-paced online multiplayer game that will see you creeping around a map hunting own your enemies. What does it take to decimate your opponents and win every game? Read on to find out.

1 Choose your hero
Before any battle, make sure you are comfortable with the hero you’ll be playing with. Granted, you don’t have much choice to begin with, but after only a handful of games you will have quite the selection. My personal hero of choice is Bastion, the hunkering bulk of bullet-eating power. Not only must you choose your hero, but look after them. If you have a particular favourite of a few chosen ones, it is advised to sink every resource you have into them. Upgrade them as far as you can, gear them up, upgrade their gear and abilities.
Make sure your hero/heroes are as beefed up as possible, it will most likely be the difference between failure and success on the battlefield.
2 Stick with your teammates
If you are playing with teammates, make sure to never stray too far. The last thing you want is to accidentally bump into a group of players who have stuck together, when your allies are so far away. In Bullet Echo, it is vital to make sure assistance is close. Your allies can revive you, should you fall, and eliminate any aggressor that tries to hunt you down. Make sure to reciprocate in kind, and never think twice about reviving your fallen friends. Unless there is a blundering Bastion awaiting your presence, of course…

3 Pick Up Everything
There are tonnes of items strewn about the map. From ammo, to medkits, to upgrades, to armour, there is always something on the floor. Don’t hesitate when you see something enticing just ahead, swiftly pick it up, even if you don’t particularly need it. Rather your hands than the enemy’s, right?
4 Move carefully
One wonderful feature of the game is the radius of your noise. The quicker you move, the louder you are, the more enemies that can detect you. I would suggest moving no faster than your range permits. That way, if a random someone jumps at you, they’ll most likely be within shooting range, so you can blast away any unwanted visitors.

5 Spray and pray?
Bullet Echo advertises itself as a stealth game, with all the mechanics rewarding you for being sneaky and having the element of surprise. But in my experience, going too slow and too steady is usually trumped by running in and blasting away. Sure, everyone will know where you are and may even see your footsteps, but I say bring it on! Having such a brute as Bastion, I can afford to shrug off the bullets of my baited enemies, as I swing my gun from side-to-side, destroying everyone that tries to come near.
There are numerous vantage points to peak around corners and wait for your opponents to waltz into your line of fire. One strategy I adore playing is running into a building, so everyone knows where I am, and simply waiting for them to pile in, only for my stationary, thus accurate, hero to cut them all down.
I have thoroughly enjoyed many games of Bullet Echo, and have scarcely lost a game with my trusty hero, Bastion. If you take my advice, hoovering up the upgrades, never straying from your team and mixing stealth mechanics with boisterous, obnoxious warfare, you’ll do just fine.
