At the beginning of the new year, Activision decided to reset Seasons’ numbering in COD Mobile. So season 14, which was supposed to release in January, was renamed ‘Season 1: New Order’. Likewise, the next season will be called ‘Season 2 of 2021‘, and this time it will bring rank reset along with it.
However, the exact date of release for COD Mobile Season 2 has not been officially confirmed yet. But since the battle pass of Season 1 is ending on March 10. Therefore, it is quite obvious that Season 2 shall begin on March 11, 2021.
For the players who are unaware, let us tell you that a season in COD Mobile runs for a month, while a rank series run for two months. This is why the player ranks were not reset in the last seasons. However, as mentioned in the official community update, a new rank series will begin alongside season 2. Therefore all the players’ ranks will reset this time.
COD Mobile Rank Reset System Explained
As mentioned above, the new ranked series will bring a rank rest for every player in call of duty mobile. The below-attached table explains how the rank rest system will work and how players will be demoted to a lower rank with the introduction of Season 2.
|Current Rank (Season 1)||New Rank (Season 2)|
|Rookie I,II,III,IV & V||Rookie I|
|Veteran I||Rookie II|
|Veteran II||Rookie III|
|Veteran III & IV||Rookie IV|
|Elite I & Veteran V||Rookie V|
|Elite II & III||Veteran I|
|Elite IV & V||Veteran II|
|Pro I & II||Veteran III|
|Pro III & IV||Veteran IV|
|Pro V||Veteran V|
|Master I||Elite I|
|Master II||Elite II|
|Master III||Elite III|
|Master IV||Elite IV|
|Master V||Elite V|
As seen in the rank reset table above, a call of duty mobile player is demoted by two ranks when a new rank series is introduced. For example: If you are in Master rank, you will be demoted to Elite rank; likewise, if you are in Pro rank, you will be demoted to the Veteran rank.
