Ubisoft is preparing to launch Assassin’s Creed Mirage, the latest installment in the gaming franchise. The developer has decided to take a unique approach to the release, going back to its original format and focusing on action-adventure, parkour, and stealth moves. RPG elements are not a major focus, with Mirage marking a significant shift in game creation by moving away from RPG progression systems.
Going Back to the Original Formula
Mirage is a new game in the Assassin’s Creed franchise that will take players back to the original setup, which is why players fell in love with the game in the first place. Over time, the developer decided to take on an RPG approach, creating even more game adventures. However, it was quickly realized that the RPG format caused the game to lose the emotions it was known for.
With this new version, Ubisoft brings players back to stealth action, a favorite element among Assassin’s Creed fans. Parkour is also back, with players having to move quickly and effectively to make it through game sequences. These elements have been missed in the RPG format games, so it should be welcomed by players with the new Mirage release.
Amazing Graphics and Animations
Ubisoft is going all out with Assassin’s Creed Mirage, transporting players to Baghdad two decades before AC Valhalla took place. The ancient city is highlighted in amazing imagery, immersing players in the environment.
The narrative begins as we watch Basim transform from a street thief to a prominent part of the Hidden Ones. Ubisoft used all the tools in its kit to provide premium graphics that rival other software developers. It can be quite difficult to bring a story to life, and game developers are constantly trying to bring in new ideas and technology to boost their new creations.
Ubisoft was able to bring a new level of detail to Baghdad, creating a realistic year 861, a golden age for the city. Once you see the imagery of the game, you will be amazed at the fine detail. Ubisoft has been able to capture a development style that many online software developers in the industry envy.
Rumors of Real Gambling
Assassin’s Creed Mirage has been given an AO rating in the Xbox store, leading many to believe that the game would include a real gambling element, blood, and violence. Players were confused by the rating, and it was unclear just how gambling would be implemented.
Ubisoft quickly dismissed the rumors, stating that they did not add loot boxes or gambling to the game. However, new information noted such elements in the title. So now, players are waiting to see if the game will include some type of gambling format. It won’t be like online casinos, of course, but it will include some elements of gambling. Perhaps a type of dice game or a wager with a side character?
Gambling has become a hot topic of debate in the gaming world for the past few years. Internationally, loot boxes have been banned because they are considered a form of gambling. More adult ratings are added to video games if casino gaming is offered to prevent minors accessing such side activities.
What to Expect
While there are still mysteries surrounding Assassin’s Creed Mirage, we do know that the game will feature social stealth, target stealth assassinations, and pole vaulting. Side missions will be required of Bassim, including taking out targets and bribing guards. Clues will need to be found and stealth used to eavesdrop on conversations, to be able to take down the larger targets.
Players will be able to use smoke bombs, gas mines, and an eagle with a high-flying view as weapons. Upgrades will be offered for tools and were included in the preorder with add-on content.
