Let’s be honest, all of us have played or have been hooked on this game at least once in our life. I know I was when I was in school. 8-ball pool is just a really fun game, not very hard to learn, and absolutely rewarding. I still occasionally pick up the game. Now the awesome-ness of the game is clearly indicated by the fact that it completed a decade. TEN whole years of people playing 8-ball pool inside their homes. That’s a long, long time. In fact, the game is half my age! Crazy, am I right?
To celebrate this feat, Miniclip launched an update for the game and is giving away rewards almost daily since the past week. For the first time, Miniclip is also releasing information about the player base and the stats are honestly astounding.
New Cue and other rewards
First off, there’s a new cue in the game called the ‘Bismuth’ cue. Bismuth crystals are beautiful and can alter their structure and appearance. Just like the crystal, this cue is the first animated cue to be released and will change its appearance with every upgrade. Of course, this is not all. Miniclip has planned a whole series of activities, quests, and challenges throughout the month of June and you can win a TONNE of rewards for completing this. They are also giving out a host of free rewards to players and you can keep track of these through their official Twitter handle. 8-ball pool also introduced a 10 year themed season pass with exciting rewards waiting to be won. More giveaways are also planned, and it is rumored that there may be some celebrity appearances as well. Looks like Miniclip is going all out here. Have you started completing the season pass?

Again a reminder, these are stats for just one month. The game has been here for a decade. There’s a reason that 8-ball pool is Miniclip’s number one game. This isn’t the only reason for Miniclip’s celebration. They are also celebrating their 20th anniversary. I owe my childhood to Miniclip.
