SNK Playmore is back with an addition to its previous Metal Slug games – Metal Slug Commander! The game now is available worldwide for free to play; on Google Play and Apple App Store with in-app purchases.
The game involves collecting and sending out units to battle enemies. The player controls their characters of Fio, Marco, and other Slugs as a commander, rather than directly getting involved in battle. Your job is to manage and deploy troops as and when required.
The official website gives an insight into how the gameplay functions. There are quite a few short tutorial videos even, consisting of 5 slugs to guide players. Each video consists of different scenarios of characters going into battle. They talk about character arrangement, line-up battle tactics, and how to keep character health a priority during battle.
Quite a lot of famous characters will also be making an appearance. The regular army will feature characters the likes of Louise, Fio, Marco, and the SV-001 Slug. The Desert army will feature – Sol De Rokker, HMT, Elysion, and Hathol. The Rebel Army will consist of characters like Shizuka, Jupiter King, Beatrize, and Abigail. Bonny, Fedeln, Bonny, Pauline and Metzelei from the Space army. The Revolution army consists of Red Goblin and Jin.
Metal Slug Commander Beta released!
The card collecting mobile game has officially launched its Beta version globally. Metal Slug announced this officially on twitter. The story starts off quite a while after where its predecessor ended – with the last space invasion warded off, and with temporary peace and stability achieved; here on starts the story of Metal Slug. Players take charge of humanity and maintaining that peace.
Die-hard fans will also recognize the classic elements of the previous games. Players can participate in global servers to battle other players from over the world. Or can choose to battle the AI in PvE battles.
