Wild Arena Survivors is an online multiplayer battle royale game from the house of Ubisoft. The fast-paced battles take place on an untamed, exotic island filled with wild animals and other players. You can search the island for resources and upgrade your weapons and items for a better chance of winning. Pick a survivor from the list of survivors, each with different weapons, abilities, and play style, and defend yourself from the wild animals and fight with your opponents to be the last man standing.
Wild Arena Survivors’ game mechanics are not too hard to get hold of for a beginner. However, being a multiplayer game you will need to have an upper hand to win against other real players. In this article, I will give you some tips that will help you progress through the game with much ease.
Tips for Wild Arena Survivors
1. Choosing Your Survivor
At the beginning of the game, you will be asked to select a survivor among a list of three. This will be the character you will play with until you unlock a good new character. So, if you are confused as to which survivor to choose, go with Buck. Buck is a balanced character and will remain relevant for a long time throughout the game. Other than that, there is a selection of 10 survivors, each of them having unique weapons and abilities, which you can unlock eventually in the game.
2. Selecting Touchdown Spot
Just like any other battle royale game, you will be brought to the battleground by an aircraft and then you will have to select a spot to land. Landing in an ideal spot is crucial as it will decide the trajectory of your game. The map in Wild Arena Survivors is a big one, and it has 6 named locations. These named locations are likely to have more loots but at the same time, there will be more competition too. On the other hand, the obscure locations will have fewer loots but your chance of survival will be greater. The game is as much about survival as it is about obtaining more loots. So, land on the named locations only if you are confident about your skills.
3. Looting and Upgrading
As with other battle royale games, looting and collecting valuable resources in Wild Arena Survivors increases your chance to win. However, there are a lot of things to loot in the game and you would only want the necessary items.
Here are the types of loots;
Players can harvest the trees, rocks, and other plants anywhere on the exotic island just like you can do in Fortnite. By harvesting, you get HP replenishment and some upgrading crystals which you can use to upgrade your weapons. To harvest an object you have to simply go near it and an axe button will appear.
- Fighting Wild Animals
As said earlier, Wild Arena Survivors has wild animals in the environment in addition to the other players. You can fight with the animals and take them down to get some upgrade crystals and HP replenishment. It’s worth noting that, if you engage in a fight with a big animal like a buffalo or a crocodile it will take a long time to take them down and there is a danger of other players arriving at the spot, which is not something you would want. So, only take on smaller animals like a turtle for an easy takedown.
- Crates and Chests
The above two were only vague examples of the word loot. To obtain proper loot opening loot crates and chests are the best options. These crates and chests contain resources like weapons, support gears, and other items. You can find these loots in various places on the map.
Now that you have collected all the upgrade crystals, don’t just keep them stashed in your inventory. Use them to upgrade your in-hand weapons and support gears as much as possible.
4. Upgrade Your Survivor
As you progress through the game and gain more trophies you will start to encounter more skilled opponents. To stand a chance against them, your skill alone won’t be enough. You will need to back your skills up with survivor upgrades and unlocking improvements. By upgrading your survivor you boost their stats like Attack damage and Total HP. And unlocking improvements will increase your skills like weapon damage, weapon cooldown, etc. To unlock new improvements you will need Ward Coins and to Upgrade your survivor you will need Survivor Cards.
5. Use the Support Gears
Really, there is no reason not to use the support gears. They are there to give you a boost while fighting animals or opponents. Like weapon skills, support gears also have a cooldown timer. Make sure to use them in any combat situation. There are a lot of support gears like Grenade, Molotov cocktails, Speed boosts, etc. each with different kinds of abilities. Here is a list of all support gears and their uses,
|Hand Grenade||Hurls a grenade that, upon impact explodes quickly, causing significant damage to any foes nearby.|
|Molotov Cocktail||Throws a bottle bomb that catches fire and explodes, doing damage to nearby opponents repeatedly.|
|Health Tonic||Creates a temporary healing area for you and your allies.|
|Ward Pill||Makes you invincible and immune to alterations for a very short duration.|
|Muscle Boost||Boosts attack damage for a short duration.|
|Smoke Grenade||Turns you invisible for a large amount of time.|
|Body Armour||Provides temporary protection from damage.|
|Wolf Trap||Places a long-lasting wolf trap on the ground. Deals damage to the first enemy to walk over it, first stunning then slowing them for a short time.|
|Throwing Knife||Throws a knife that deals damage and slows the enemy.|
|Speed Boost||Boosts movement speed for a short time.|
