Although most people would have probably already played the game, still for the ones who haven’t, here’s what you’re missing.
About “What Remains of Edith Finch”:
What Remains of Edith Finch is a first-person, spooky, story-driven adventure. The game’s website describes it as “a collection of short stories about a cursed family in Washington state”, and that is exactly what the game is. The player takes control of a character named Edith Finch, who is the last remaining member of her family. Her family supposedly carries a curse due to which all but one child of each generation dies. The game revolves around Edith’s endeavor to understand this curse and how her family members had died. Edith comes back to the Finch house and explores the house, as she goes through the house, visits the deceased family member’s rooms, she relives their last days as a sort of mini-story. The game is not objective or achievement-driven and therefore has simplistic and minimal mechanics, and that is its beauty.

The simple mechanics combine beautifully to tell the game’s story in a magnificent manner. The well-crafted, gloomy graphics also add to the overall experience of the game!
