Genshin Impact 2.1 Version brought along various new features, characters, and mechanisms in the game. Alongside those new things, they also added 2 new locations – Watatsumi Island and Serai Islands.
While exploring Genshin Impact Watatsumi Island, players can come across the rotating cube puzzle. It’s not a new feature in the game; it was introduced with Inazuma, and most players will have come across them when exploring the previous islands. If you haven’t played with the rotating cube mechanism yet; you’re supposed to strike the cubes until they form a certain pattern. The pattern is different for different puzzles, some need to be facing the same way and lit up at once, some need to hit to light up all the three lights on every cube. It can get very confusing sometimes, but once you get a hang of it, you can do all of them easily. After solving the puzzle, you can get a chest, may it be common, exquisite, or precious. No matter what kind of chest it will be, they all give primogems, which is what we are after.

Now, Genshin Impact has added 10 new rotating cube puzzles to Watatsumi Islands. We have prepared a detailed guide to show you where you can find them and how you can solve them. You just need to follow along with the numbers and the primogems are yours!
Ruin Machine Puzzle – Part 1
This is a three-part puzzle, so you have come back to solve it two more times. You will need to teleport to the waypoint east of Bourou Village and keep going north till you are on the place you can see on the map below. Follow the numbers given and you’ll receive an exquisite chest.

Ruin Machine Puzzle – Part 2
You need to leave the ruin machine area after you’re done with the first one and then come back till Paimon notices that the cubes look different. Follow along and finish the puzzle for the second time and you’ll get another exquisite chest.

Ruin Machine Puzzle – Part 3
Leave the area again and after some time, return the see the cubes in this position and with a little bit of moss on it. Do the following and you’ll receive a precious chest.

Once you finish the puzzle, you don’t receive a chest but you free the electro seelie that’s hanging above and light one of the totems as you follow it. You need it to complete the compass puzzle that you’ll find right there.

Once you unlock the puzzle, you won’t recieve a chest but you will find a Thunder Sakura Bough and get the Electrogranum to get the Electroculus above.

South of Borou Village Puzzle:

Overall, Genshin Impact Watatsumi Island is a really beautiful place and the puzzles are extremely easy to do. There’s only a few of them so I highly recommend you to do all of them and gain a bunch of primogems and get your Exploration Progress up. Have fun exploring!
