Waling dead: Road to Survival is a mixture of both traditional town planning strategies and standard turn-based RPG games. The game from the developer, Scopely, involves survival and planning of your characters which is mainly inspired by the AMC series. Along with that, you need to lead your war against zombies (walkers) and some of the dangerous enemies like the infamous Nagan from Robert Kirkman’s famous series.
The storyline of the game isn’t that difficult or complex to understand and neither are its controls and features. But the game has challenges with different types of enemies which makes matches more difficult to control. As a survival game, the game needs some planning with building a strong team and proper management of your town you can easily take control over the game. So to comfort you a bit more, here we have come with the Tips and Tricks for the Walking Dead: Road to Survival.
TIP #1 – Make Your Team The Best
Building a promising team is the only thing that matters the most in the Walking Dead: Road to Survival and therefore you need to think wisely while making up a team. Making the best team means it is obvious that you should recruit the best characters, but what is best for you could not be best for others. Well, in layman’s terms, the recruitment of characters in the team is highly dependent on your gameplay. But talking in a neutral way, you should add various rare survivors which are mainly of 3, 4, and 5 stars.
But a problem here is you cannot get these characters at the starting of the game as these are rare characters that are very hard to find. And therefore here comes the role of 1 and 2-star characters which are of a low quality. But using them at the initial stage of the game, you can unlock rare survivors, or else you can use the trading points to unlock them.
TIP – #2 Modify Your Characters
After the successful recruitment of characters in your team, it’s now time to enhance your character’s ability. If you have gone through the game properly you would have noticed that there are character cars available for each character like leader, citizen, peacekeeper, hunter, and soldier. You can use these cards to level up your characters and make your team more powerful and unbeatable.
Leveling up doesn’t mean upgrading characters of lower stars like 1 and 2 because upgrading these units will not let you win the game. Therefore focus on upgrading characters who are of 3, 4, and above because of their ability on the battlefield. Apart from this, you should have a minimum of three characters of each trait to provide all types of support you will need while attacking your enemy like defense, healing, and attacking.
TIP #3 – Spend Your Resources Wisely
Just like any other game, here in the Walking Dead: Road to Survival, the most crucial items are resources. The best way to have more and more resources is by stealing them from another’s. But if you can steal resources, they too can, so you need to be prepared. Being prepared in the sense, do not ever collect a huge amount of resources as you can easily be caught in someone’s eyes. It is advisable to keep your reserves empty most of the time by leveling up your characters or by training them. Along with them, be careful while using material prizes and food grains.
TIP #4- Make The Best Use Of Auto-Battle
You might be wondering that this is a strategy yet planning-based game, but why there is an Auto-Battle feature present in the game, isn’t it? Well, there are certain levels or stages in the game where you will find it very easy to complete, and in case you don’t want to complete those easy levels, sit back and relax the Auto-Battle feature will do it for you. This feature can be turned on by tapping the fast-forward button on the left side of the screen. The computer then takes over the control of that match and will lead you to victory. These matches can be easily played by computers.
But always using this feature can harm your gaming profile. The worst part about this feature is that it uses the adrenaline rush even for the weak enemies and then is left empty in front of the strong enemies. But apart from this, it is worth using this feature.
