1. Daily Quests and Achievements
Like most other kingdom-building games, the one thing you will require in abundance to progress in Vikingard is resources. Completing daily quests and achievements is a good way of earning useful resources without having to put in too much effort. Both daily quests and achievements give you tasks that you can complete in the main story itself. In return, you can earn Viking points, VIP points, and other useful resources. You also get a basic guide of the gameplay by doing those tasks.
2. Participate in Events
Another way you can earn valuable items and resources in Vikingard is by participating in the events. The game features plenty of special events that are time-limited and offers various useful rewards like in-game currency, resources, Hersirs, Companions, etc. So, in order to progress quickly and efficiently in the game, you will have to participate in as many events as possible and earn those valuable resources.
3. Focus on the Main Quest
Vikingard’s tutorial session will take you through the different features and regions of the game mainly by engaging in campaign battles. While campaign battles are the primary mode for making progress in the game, after a certain point the battles will require you to be more powerful to win. For beginners, playing through the main quest is a good idea. By playing the main quest you get both familiar with the game’s basic system, characters, etc., and earn various useful resources. So, if you are just starting out, I’ll highly recommend you to start by playing the main quest and gather enough resources to make your Hersirs more powerful, and then advance through the campaign battles.
4. Campaign Battles
Once you have gathered enough resources or reached a stage in the main quest where you don’t satisfy the requirements of the objective, you can take part in the various other activities you have unlocked through the main mission. But, keeping game progress in mind, playing campaign battles should be your next priority. Campaign battles in Vikingard take place in various locations across the world map and you can conquer the whole world eventually by winning battles stage by stage. Every location has 6 stages in terms of battles, the 6th one being the boss fight. You will receive rewards for conquering each stage in addition to unlocking new features by clearing certain stages in battle.
5. Upgrade Your Hersirs
To go on a battle with your valiant enemies and defeat them you will need Hersirs to lead your army on the battlefield. Hersirs are the commanders of your army and play a crucial role in Vikingard. As of now, there are 39 Hersirs in the game each having unique features and abilities. It’s needless to say, that the more you progress through the campaign battles the harder each stage will get. To be able to keep winning battles you will need to power up your Hersirs. When you are just starting out, it’s recommended to just focus on one Hersir, and keep upgrading it as much as you can.
