Underdogs presents itself as a unique and fast-paced multiplayer action game from Moonbear, the creators of the famed open-world building game Pocket Build. The game promises to bring in tons of action, customizability, weapons coupled with a thrilling and fun multiplayer experience to its players. The game is available for download on both Android and iOS platforms, and now it’s time for us to find out if this action-packed multiplayer game lives up to its promises.
The Gameplay
Underdogs follows a fast-paced 3v3 battle structure wherein the goal of each team is to push their respective cart, which is placed on a track, to the enemy’s base to ensure victory. Each of the 3 players gets to pick a character, which is highly customizable and includes the ability to use skins, change masks, backpacks, hair, hats, and other numerous items. The characters are also given the choice to equip themselves with a wide array of weapons to protect their base, teammates, themselves, and also to attack enemy members. Each character in the game starts at the same level, and then levels up as the game progresses by earning XP. XP is earned through kills, assists, and completion of games, and can be used to unlock weapons and other items.

The game is also equipped with a leaderboard showcasing the best players worldwide and offers weekly prizes to top rank holders. Underdogs also comes with a friend system where three people can form a team and engage in battle with the other team, ensuring lots of action and fun.
The Controls
In Underdogs, the controls of the game consist of two circular joysticks located on the bottom left and right area of the display. The left joystick allows you to move the character in any direction, while the right joystick is for aiming and shooting. Shooting a weapon requires for you to drag the right joystick in the direction you wish to shoot at, while a double-tap on the display allows for the character to perform a roll. For pushing your team’s cart, you have to stand behind the cart and then move your left joystick in the desired direction. Players can get used to the controls in no time, as the game comes with an in-game tutorial.

The Graphics
The graphics of the game are well-sorted out, fluid and well-detailed, and are pleasing to look at. This includes the movement of the characters and the cart, the action of the numerous weapons, and the static elements present in the map, such as the trees, rocks, crates, and the electric poles. The maps are also very well illustrated, and the choice of colors to illustrate them is also worth mentioning.

In Conclusion
In a sea of fast-paced multiplayer action games for mobile, Underdogs manages to present itself as a unique multiplayer game with its fast-paced action, feature loaded gameplay, and superb graphics. As such, the game has many things going for it, and with the developers promising regular updates, features, and support, Underdogs is a game worth looking at. A small gripe is that, the friend system requires for 3 players to start a game, which is not very ideal, therefore the addition of a 2-player friend system is something that I feel will favor the game. Underdogs is available for download both on Google Play and the App Store.
