The last Ubisoft’s conference call has revealed a lot of upcoming plans for the studio. Being an avid mobile gamer, the thing that caught our eye was a new Assassin’s Creed Mobile Game.
Ubisoft and Tencent are Developing a New Assassin Creed Mobile Game
Gaming Analyst Daniel Ahmad has revealed that Ubisoft has partnered with Tencent Games to develop a new mobile game for the Assassin’s Creed franchise.
Not many details have been revealed about the game. But what we know for sure is that it’s going to be a free-to-play action-adventure game built on Unreal Engine 4. Tencent will be the one that will be developing the entire game under the supervision of Ubisoft, who will be the publisher of the game.

In the last company’s call, Ubisoft clearly stated that they want to create high-end and high-quality mobile games based on popular IPs, and it looks like they have already started with the plan.
Why Ubisoft Partnered with Tencent Games?
Tencent is the number one mobile game developers as well as the publisher in the entire world. Games like PUBG Mobile, Honor of Kings, Call of Duty Mobile are just some of the feathers in Tencent’s cap.
Why has Ubisoft teamed up with Tencent Games to develop the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Mobile Game? Firstly, it’s because Tencent Games have the experience – they have already converted great IPs into mobile games, they are also reportedly working on the Apex Legends Mobile version. Secondly, both Ubisoft and Tencent share the same plans; they both wish to create AAA games for the mobile platform.

Other than all that, Tencent also purchased a 5% stake in Ubisoft back in 2018, so if Ubisoft wanted to partner with a mobile game studio, they had no other option.
Assassin’s Creed Mobile Game Release Date?
Neither Tencent Games nor Ubisoft has provided any details about the game itself, so obviously, there are no details on the release date either. It is quite clear that the game is in the early stages of development and will take at least one year to launch globally.
So, how excited are you to know about an upcoming free-to-play Assassin’s Creed Mobile Game? Will you be playing it once it is launched or not? Do let us know your views in the comments below.
