Transformers: Heavy Metal developer Niantic recently announced that the game operations would be ceased on August 31, 2022. The players on any of the platforms would not be able to access the game anymore.
About The Game
Developed by Niantic, the Transformers: Heavy Metal was released a year ago in November 2021. The game was rolled out with many transformers characters including bumblebee. Inside the game, players do have the opportunity to team up with Autobots and fight against the Decepticons. This game is an adventure game where one can also see turn-based card battles too. Players can keep playing and rank up to unlock new transformers’ characters.
Also, the Autobots can be powered up to max level and can be commanded about important missions. This game also has some in-app purchases. Players can also play with their real-time friends in multiplayer mode.
Niantic Announced End Of Services And Stoppage Of Game By August 31
With a recent official tweet, the developers of Transformers: Heavy Metal have put down a heavy note for the players about the termination of the game. The officials have declared that they have decided to take down the game from both Google Play and App Store. Also, the official website and community forums would not be accessible anymore. This would come into action on August 31, 2022. Though it has only been a year since the game’s launch, the developers ceasing their operations this quick was quite unexpected.
That must be heartbreaking news for all the transformers fans and for those who have eagerly waited for the game to be released in their region.
