The much-awaited release of Townscaper for mobile is now closer than ever! The game which is so loved on steam that the average review rating stands at “overwhelmingly positive” will very soon be finding its way onto mobile devices.
About Townscaper

The game or toy, as its developers think of it, is more of a relaxing experience rather than an objective or story-driven endeavor. The player is provided with a literal ocean on which he or she is supposed to build his or her own island. This might sound like something which gets boring after a few minutes of playing, but that is not the case at all! The game makes use of visuals that are appealing to the eye and are easy on it as well. It also gives individual properties or attributes to almost every element regarding what it can and cannot do.
Recent Announcement
Although the announcement about the game coming out on Mobile and Nintendo Switch devices was made a while ago, no specific time frame apart from the year was announced. Raw Fury however on their YouTube channel recently announced the release time for the switch version! August has been announced as the month of launch. Many are expecting the launch date to be around the 20th-25th of the month.
Conclusion
In a market that has recently started showing great interest in simple and relaxing games like Alto’s Odyssey or Tap and Play games like Penguin isle and Tap Titans, Townscaper does have a share of audience who will be greatly interested in playing it. The game’s launch on switch might as well answer another question as well, regarding whether the game will be free-to-play or not. Although, since it would definitely be priced below the $5.99 price tag it holds on steam, it should be affordable for most users.
