Time Zero is a brand new Role Playing Game developed by 3F Factory. The game has you defeating monsters or ghosts within a time limit and progressing through the tower. The game rewards you for completing each level as fast as possible. The game is over if your health or time runs out. The game features unique ghosts and monster designs. The gameplay is simple and rewarding.
Gameplay of Time Zero
The gameplay is simple with an engaging and appropriate difficulty curve. To control the character simply hold and drag them around the playable area. The hero of Time Zero shoots arrows automatically. You have to dodge the ghosts that spawn as well as their attacks, all the while ensuring your attacks hit them. Each stage has a time limit within which it must be cleared. At the 5th stage a mini-boss appears and a boss at the 10th stage. Defeating them within the time limit allows you to progress to the next stage
The level-skipping feature is what makes Time Zero stand out. Based on how fast the boss has been defeated the game assigns a grade, which if high enough allows the player to skip levels and enter a boss fight. The higher the grade, the higher the number of levels skipped. For example, if the 1st boss at level 10 has been cleared with SS rank then the game jumps to level 50 where you have to defeat the boss to progress. But if the grade is A, then the number of levels skipped is less.
On defeating each boss the game allows you to select a temporary bonus such as increased damage, increased critical chance, special arrows, etc. The reward for defeating a boss depends on how fast you clear it. Your attack damage plays a direct role in it however mechanics such as critical chance and critical damage too can determine how fast you defeat the boss. It is ideally important that you upgrade the character to have high damage. Damage is also increased by equipping weapons. Better quality weapons give a bigger bonus to your attack
Resources in Time Zero
There are various obtainable resources and items which all add towards strengthening the player’s character. The resources, their uses and where to get them are as follows.
Coins: Coins can be obtained by defeating the ghosts in any game mode, by completing missions, completing achievements and also from idle rewards. They can also be bought from the store or obtained for free by watching ads. Coins are used to level up the player’s character which increases the attack allowing you to clear the stages faster.
Gems: Gems are the currency that are used to open Ghost and Weapon Chests to get ghosts and special arrows. They can be purchased from the store or obtained for free by watching advertisements. A free and consistent way to obtain gems is by receiving achievement rewards.
Reinforcing Hammer: The game uses reinforcing hammers to upgrade the weapons obtained from the chests. Upgrading them increases the damage they deal. Skipping levels give hammers proportionate to the level skipped. However, the best way to get them is by clearing Challenge levels. For example, clearing Lvl 6 of challenge 1 will give 65 hammers along with a first-time-clear bonus of 195 hammers.
Tickets: Tickets are used to obtain Ghost and Weapon Boxes for free. They can be obtained by completing missions and as a reward for clearing each challenge level for the first time.
Time Zero is a game with unique yet simple game mechanics that makes it a fun experience. It is only marred by the occasional ads but it doesn’t take away from the fact that it is a fun game. The above tips should help in quickly understanding the mechanics and get to ghost hunting in no time.
