- The game will be based in a new and never seen before world.
- The game will feature a new story for the players to embark upon.
- The trailer also showcases the presence of numerous characters.
- The game will be played in the portrait mode.
No specific release date for the game was announced at the event.
About the “Tales” series:
The “Tales” series has been around since 1995 and its first game was Tales of Phantasia. Since then, the series has grown quite a bit and has developed an audience for itself. The games are all RPGs and feature an anime or manga style of artwork. The games in the series are independent entries rather than being a part of a single storyline. The series also features a signature action-based fighting system called, “Linear Motion Battle System”.
Conclusion:
To conclude, Bandai Namco has numerous games under its umbrella which have been downloaded over 10 million times. This means that they know and understand the mobile gaming market very well. Although the “Tales” series has a pretty niche audience as of now, interest has been growing for JRPGs globally for a while now. Hopefully, Bandai Namco will be able to utilize this growing interest and come out with a game that caters well to this budding space in the global mobile gaming scenario.
