Sega’s Shining Force: Heroes of Light and Darkness is a legally licensed new entry in SEGA’s original series. It was revealed earlier this month by Hive (under the Korean firm Vespa) under the name ‘Hive’ on its official website. It is a free-to-play mobile game that aims to bring the excitement of tactical role-playing games to mobile devices.
When the game was revealed, we didn’t have any gameplay or graphic details. Vespa has unveiled the first gameplay trailer for Shining Force: Heroes of Light and Darkness. The trailer is available in both Japanese and Korean, with English subtitles in the Korean version.
Shining Force: Heroes of Light and Darkness Gameplay Trailer:
Shining Force is a turn-based tactical RPG that was first released in the 1990s if you’re unfamiliar with the series.
Shining Force: Heroes of Light and Darkness is the company’s most recent mobile game, set in the same universe and following the protagonist on a quest to combat evil.

Even though a thousand years have gone by since the events of previous games, characters from prior games, such as Bowie, Sarah, Mae, and Max, have been transported across time and space to be a part of this game. That’s quite standard for mobile games, but the game’s teaser stands out since all of the original characters have been faithfully created to match their original designs. This is a great update with some very lovely animation. So far, the mobile version has everything we could want.
Shining Force: Heroes of Light and Darkness will be released worldwide in the first half of 2022, as previously stated. North America, Japan, South Korea, Europe, and other Asian countries are included in the license rights, although a complete list of supported regions for this release has yet to be revealed as of this writing.
