PUBG Mobile developers have announced a new open-world co-op survival game ‘Undawn’

Tencent Games who is the developer of the much popular battle royale game ‘PUBG: Mobile’, has just announced a new open-world co-op game titled ‘Undawn.’ Only a few details have been revealed about this upcoming fight for a survival game that will release later this year.

About Undawn

Undawn is an upcoming open-world co-op action game set in a dangerous and unforgiving world where the players must fight for survival against the dual threats of zombies and other humans. As you would have already guessed, the game features both Player vs. Player (PvP) and Player vs. Environment (PvE) gameplay. 

Going by the trailer, we know that players will have to gather resources and battle with enemies to stay alive. They will have to build unique shelters, trade resources, and make strategies to protect themselves. We believe that the game will be somewhat similar to LifeAfter, a survival mobile by NetEase Game.

Rick Li, Executive Producer at Lightspeed & Quantum Studios, Tencent Games, said that with Undawn their team wanted to create a new type of action game that combined the aspects of both open-world freedom and RPG elements. He added that the game will be available on both PC and Mobile and will support cross-play, making the game more fun to play.

When will Undawn release?

Tencent Games has not announced an exact date of release for the game yet, but they have said that they plan to release Undawn in 2021 itself. So chances of getting this game on your Android and iOS devices somewhere in Q4 of 2020 look pretty good.
