Temple Run, the massively popular mobile gaming franchise, is planned to be a live-action reality competition show. Temple Run had witnessed such high popularity at its peak, which very few applications had seen in their lifetime. American Ninja Warrior and The Titan Games producer A. Smith & Company Productions is developing the reality competition show.
Banking on the popularity
The participants will sprint through the famous Temple Run course in reality. The show will try to capitalize on the game’s enormous popularity, which can be realized from the fact that the game has been downloaded over two billion times worldwide. To compare, today’s most popular games like PUBG Mobile and COD Mobile have been downloaded 1 Billion and 500 Million times only.

The Show Format
The track will include world-building, twists and turns, and complex challenges found in the Temple Run games. Although details remain limited, Temple Run creator Imangi Studios and production company A. Smith & Co. Productions have indicated that additional information will be revealed at a future date.
“Our team is always looking for ways to elevate our IP into exciting new formats. We’ve built a passionate global community around ‘Temple Run,’ and this partnership will give our fans an experience unlike ever before. A. Smith & Co. creates epic shows that inspire people to push their limits to reach greatness, and we can’t wait to see them do the same with Temple Run.”

A. Smith and Co. Productions is most recognized for its involvement in competitive tv programs that aren’t scripted. American Ninja Warrior, American Ninja Warrior Junior, and Hell’s Kitchen are among its successful programs. Although American Ninja Warrior is playful, the stakes are high, and the action is fast-paced. If the Temple Run program follows the same format, it could be another jewel in A. Smith & Co. Productions’ crown.

Warner Bros. said in 2013 that it was in discussion with producer David Heyman to convert the smartphone application into a cinematic picture. Still, no additional details on the project have been released.
So that is it for this post. I personally have played a lot of temple run in my past and would love to watch the show. What about you guys? Do let us know in the comments!
