Starbreeze Studios and PopReach Corp have officially announced that the mobile version of the popular Payday games – Payday: Crime War is finally open for beta registration.
In Crime War you play as criminals, infamous for robbing banks or as cops trying to put a stop to said criminals. If you play as the criminals, the game allows you to put together a team, plan a heist and then execute it in real time. The objective is to get away with the highest bounty possible without being caught. However, if you play as the cops, you need to try and find a way to stop the heist from taking place.
For those not familiar with the Payday series, the original game – Payday: The Heist came out for PC, XBOX and PS3 in 2011. Its immense popularity led to a sequel in 2013. Payday 2 ended up being the largest game communIty on steam with over 7 million players worldwide. Crime War is the mobile instalment of the series and is said to have a similar gameplay to Payday 2.
Crime War features some of the same beloved locations as the original Payday Games. However, its not just a Mobile version of the old payday games. One of the changes that most players, whether familiar with payday or not, are looking forward to is playing as cops. Yes, this is a new original feature available only in the mobile game! As cops, your objective is to try and put a stop to the heists.
The Beta is mainly focused on testing the controls and general gameplay. The developers are also looking for feedback on the animations, weapons and other visual elements of the game as well.
Players can head over to the official website right now and register to win a chance to be one of the early testers. Registrations open till December 1. The game is set to launch on Android and IOS in 2022.
