Introduction to OCTOPATH TRAVELER: CotC
OCTOPATH TRAVELER: CotC is SQUARE ENIX Co., Ltd’s upcoming Japanese Role-playing game. Its full name is “OCTOPATH TRAVELER: Champions of the Continent”. This is another version of the original series OCTOPATH TRAVELER which was released in 2018 in Nintendo Switch. Unfold the story and mystery of the world of Orsterra. Orsterra is currently being ruled by a tyrant who only seeks power, wealth and fame. Such desire unleashed darkness upon the world of Orsterra. Now you are the ‘chosen one’ who has to fight against the evils of Orsterra. But there were few in the world who were able to resist such darkness. You will also meet them along your journey and learn more about this world from them. You are on a journey where you don’t know where the path will take you or what your goal is? Maybe now you will finally find the answer.
The game will have high-quality HD pixel-art style graphics and Yasunori Nishiki, the composer for the first series is also working on the new series. You can now battle with 8 member parties also there will be a total of 64 characters available at launch. With these characters, you will be slowly led to the land of tyrants soon. The game will support in devices that have Android 6.0 or higher (excluding some devices) Memory (RAM): 2GB or higher. The game is supposed to get released in Summer 2022.
Pre-registration and Beta
According to the announcement, the game is now available in ‘Google Play‘ for pre-registration but only in two continents i.e. in North America and Europe. When the game gets released then it will be available for iOS users too but there’s no information regarding pre-registration for iOS. Recently they made an announcement regarding its continent Closed Beta Test. It will be held on March 22, 2022, at 6:00 PM PDT. This means it will be temporarily available for download on these two continents. If you are from there, make sure to check out the game!
