Castlevania Grimoire of Souls the once long canceled game is being revived by developers at Konami, but exclusively for Apple Arcade. Fans have long waited for the new addition to the beloved game franchise and now the wait is finally over.
As revealed by Apple Store Castlevania Grimoire of Souls will feature an all-new and all original storyline. All fan favorite characters will be brought back which can be unlocked as you progress through the game and more will be revealed soon enough.
The games description also reveals that it will be a classic side-scrolling action game. Players will unlock characters, master their abilities and defeat multiple enemies. The game will have over 60 levels, a variety of characters, weapons, tools, and abilities to unlock. It is set in a time after Dracula the vampire has been sealed away and revolves around the Alucard and other heroes who are given the task of slaying demons.
Castlevania Grimoire of Souls was previously announced way back in 2018, and was launched exclusively in Canada in 2019 but was stopped suddenly. Apparently, the game was criticized for its heavy reliance on in-game microtransactions; but those who did get brief access to the game also had praised it. This while around when it gets released on Apple Arcade it will not have this property; since Apple does not allow microtransactions.
Castlevania Grimoire of Souls will be releasing on Apple Arcade and will be available on iPod Touch, iPad, iPhone, Apple TV, and Mac. As far as news on the release date goes there is no official date that has been revealed.
