Junkworld, a brand-new tower defense featuring the typical art style of Ironhide Games has been soft-launched on Android in a few countries!
Ironhide Games, the developer behind the popular Kingdom Rush series, has announced the soft launch of their newest venture, Junkworld. Ironhide Games announced the game back in July and revealed that it had been in development for a year. The game releases in UK, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, and Uruguay as a part of the soft launch. Additionally, Ironhide Games has also claimed that it will soon be adding more countries to this list, along with support for iOS.
About Junkworld:
Junkworld is a tower defense game set in a post-apocalyptic world that features Ironhide Games’ typical art style. The player is to strategically place towers to build capable defenses for “fast and intense battles”. The game features 40 levels, the player can build up to 11 kinds of towers and use up to 9 tactics. The player is to build a deck of towers and tactics which he/she will be using. Moreover, the player can also upgrade these to further strengthen them.

The game is under a soft launch on Android in the following countries:

- New Zealand.
- Australia.
- Uruguay.

To conclude, Junkworld does have elements that are worthy of praise, especially the iconic art style and the post-apocalyptic desert setting, which sort of pays homage to Mad Max. However, we, unfortunately, haven’t yet gotten our hands on the game, so a word about the game actually performs would be difficult to deliver.
