Idle Arcs: Build at Sea is an idle game where you collect and harvest wood to build up your arc to survive the flood and pick up other survivors. Here is everything you need to know before you play the game.
What to expect
Idle Arcs: Build at Sea is not what I expected, and it won’t be what you expect either. The game has different levels, and different islands to explore, which require you to make a new boat for each chapter. The gameplay consists of collecting wood, from either the sea or from a wood harvesting site on the ship (such as a tree, or a net). The wood is then used to build platforms for the ship and also to furnish it. As you build things on the ship, your wood production will increase. Once you have fully built the ship, then the chapter is complete, you sail to the next island and move on to the next chapter, needing to build another ship. Being offline gathers wood for you, so it is worth it to exit the game and come back to it periodically, to expand and build your ship.
You get rewards for reaching milestones in the chapter, which will reward you with wood, to fuel your construction even more. With this idle game, however, wood production is quite slow, and you need a lot of it to build the furnishings for your ship (such as a swing set, or the sails or torches) so this is not a game where you can sit and play it for a while at a time, it is better to keep coming back to it after periods of time to collect your offline earnings.

How to upgrade
When building the ship, you are limited to what the game allows you to build at that moment. I would advise building as many platforms as you can, to uncover everything the game will allow you to currently build, and besides, the platforms are super cheap to make. From there, prioritize the build that offers you the largest boost in production, even though it will cost more. Saving up that little bit longer will save you a lot more time in the long run!.

Keep your eyes on the horizon!
During the game, many things may be spotted floating nearby. You must tap on them for one of your survivors to go and grab it before it floats away. The most important thing to grab is any floating wood. It won’t reward you with loads of wood, but after a few collections, your supply will be bolstered nicely.
Survivors may also be found struggling in the sea. If you help them, then they will become a part of your crew and will help with tasks. With Idle Arcs: Build at Sea, the more the merrier! Glass bottles with messages inside them may float by. These messages, once collected, will merely tell you nautical facts or some of the story that is heavily inspired by the flood story in Genesis. If you don’t care for such things, then it isn’t worth collecting them.
Fish, yellow or blue, may be spotted swimming around. If you decide to fish them out, then you will get rewarded. If they are blue, then you will receive a large injection of wood. If they are yellow, then you will be rewarded with gems! Chests may be found containing a lot of wood, but either ten gems or an advert are needed to access the goodies.
