On one hand, Heroes of Crown, being an idle game, doesn’t require your active contribution to the game but on the other hand, this game will put your strategic and tactical thinking to the test. In spite of being an idle game, Heroes of Crown still requires strategies to win. In this article, I’ll provide some tips and tricks that will help you understand the game mechanics better and give you a better chance of winning.
Tips for Heroes of Crown
1. Reroll to Get a Good Start
If you’re not familiar with the term ‘rerolling’, it means starting a game and progressing to the point where you get the first free summons then repeating the process until you get the best and strongest characters in the game. It’s possible to reroll in Heroes of Crown. So, you should take advantage of this feature and keep rerolling until you get at least one or two characters from the SS tier. This will ensure you a solid start in the game. While rerolling, keep in mind to connect your Google Play account only when you have obtained the characters you are happy with and not before that.
2. Focus on the Story Mission
If you are looking to progress in Heroes of Crown then you have to clear through the story missions as soon as possible. Just like most other RPGs, in Heroes of Crown, most of the game modes and features are unlocked through the main story missions too. Your goal, in the beginning, should be to clear as many missions as possible until you reach a mission, which you will sooner or later, be too difficult to clear given your current level. Then you can take the time to upgrade your players and explore the other features of the game.
3. Level up Your Heroes
Leveling up your characters is a must in every RPG involving battles. As you progress in the game, to even stand a chance against the stronger opponents you will need to level up your heroes. When you level up a hero it increases their base stats like Defense, Attack, and HP. You also have the option to equip your heroes with various equipment like Weapons, Armor, Rings, and Boots which further improve your heroes’ stats. So upgrade your heroes as soon as they are available.
4. Know Your Character Elements
There are 6 element classes the characters in Heroes of Crown can belong to. Now each element class is strong against an element class and weak against another. Characters having an elemental advantage over the opponent will deal 20% more damage. For clarification,
- Fire is strong against Forest
- Forest is strong against Water
- Water is strong against Fire
- Light and Dark are strong against each other.
So, apart from recruiting and upgrading your heroes, the elemental matchup is another crucial point to keep in mind while building a team. The right composition will increase your chance of winning any battle.
5. Don’t Miss the AFK Rewards
Being an idle RPG, Heroes of Crown gives you AFK rewards. The game basically generates rewards for you while you are offline. These rewards include Gold, EXP, Equipment, Diamonds, etc. But the resources are generated for 14 hours max. After 14 hours, the game will stop generating resources until you collect the last one. So, to not miss out on free resources I’ll highly recommend you to open the game at least twice daily to collect the AFK rewards. Find a suitable time to open the first reward so that the second reward, after 14 hours, is also accessible.
