Hay Day Pop is the latest mobile title that Supercell was working on. It was a simple Match-and-solve puzzle game that was announced by Supercell earlier in March this year. The game has already been soft-launched in multiple countries and was scheduled to release globally in 2021. However, Supercell has just announced that they have cancelled all such plans and decided to shut the game.

Supercell Cancelled Hay Day Pop
Supercell has just announced on their official website that they have taken the decision of not releasing Hay Day Pop ever. The Finland based gaming studio stated that the reason behind this move is that the Hay Day Pop did not meet the company’s expectations. The company said they have very high standards for the games they develop. They expect their game to be played for years and remembered forever.
Unfortunately, we have made the hard decision to end the development of Hay Day Pop.
Team Supercell
Despite the community’s help and multiple updates in Hay Day Pop, they still feel that Hay Day Pop falls short of meeting the Supercell’s Standard.
When will Hay Day Pop Shut Down?
Supercell stated that they have just rolled out a brand new update to the game, its a way to say thanks to the players who have been playing it now for a long time. This will be the last update of the Hay Day Pop before it shuts down permanently on 1 February 2021.
Refund For Player Who Made In-App Purchases in Hay Day Pop
Supercell has also said that any player who has spent on in-app purchases in Hay Day Pop can contact them and get the same amount of in-game currency transferred to any other supercell game. For this, players can contact the customer support team of Supercell via the game setting of Hay Day Pop. (Tap on Settings > Help & Support > Contact Us)
Supercell Repeats History By Closing Another Game
This is not the first time Supercell has decided not to release a game after testing it for months. Rush wars, is another one such recent example, which was soft-launched last year, but never made it globally.

The only reason behind this is that Supercell is a mobile game studio that focuses on quality and not quantity. This studio has given the mobile community, games like Clash of Clans, Brawl Stars and Clash Royale. They have clearly stated that they will only launch a new game if they are sure it will go big like its other titles.
