Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage is a Japanese mobile rhythm game developed by Colorful Palette, a studio of CyberAgent’s Craft Egg, and published by Sega Corporation. This type of title should be recognizable to Project DIVA fans. This game is another addition to the expanding list of Hatsune Miku and other Vocaloids-themed games that have been circulating the internet. The game is extremely fun to play, and this guide will provide you with everything you need to know.
Objective:
If you have played a rhythm game, you would be familiar with the basic premise of Hatsune Miku: Colorful World. But this is very different compared to the normal rhythm games in the market. Players who purchase this game will be able to immerse themselves in intricate tales starring Hatsune Miku, a world-famous virtual idol, and her companions from five bands. They can also tap their way through Hatsune Miku and other virtual vocalists including Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len, Megurine Luka, KAITO, and MEIKO in regularly scheduled live-streamed virtual performances. There is also a fun gacha aspect to the game where you can wish for the characters that you want and many more events.

Story Mode:
Yes, this game has a very interactive story mode. There is a world different from ours, referred to as SEKAI. Sekais are said to have been generated from a person’s “genuine feelings” Virtual. Singers like Hatsune Miku live as physical creatures solely within Sekais. The nameless song, which was first silent, begins to have its own melodies and lyrics. These singers wander around Sekai in search of genuine feelings. The main story of the game contains various groups, each with its own emotional theme. Sekai is erratic, which means that their appearance might alter at any time according to the person’s present feelings. The Virtual Singers’ appearances are likewise affected by these alterations.

You can read through the dialogue and just tap the screen for the next one and go through an entire episode that way. There are also more options for you to go faster and slower in terms of text speed, or skip the story altogether. Playing through the storyline gives you a bunch of rewards. Sekai’s storylines are broken down into several episodes, and each episode must be unlocked individually. When a group achieves the required ranking to unlock a new episode, the episode is unlocked. The rank of a group can be improved by performing a live show related to their Sekai.
Choosing a Live Show:
HATSUNE MIKU: COLORFUL STAGE! is known for its live performances. The game includes a variety of songs, each with its own version and difficulty level. Some songs even include a 3D music video that may be played in the background. You can select from a bunch of them available for you. Some are locked, which can be unlocked after playing through the story. Each song has five levels of difficulty: Easy, Normal, Hard, Expert, and Master. It’s worth noting that Master difficulty is unlocked only after you’ve completed the song in Expert difficulty with seven or fewer taps rated GOOD (more on tap ratings later).

After you’ve chosen the level of difficulty, you can adjust the live show’s settings. You can assign up to five characters to play the show as a group. The total talent of a group is determined by the personalities in it. This has a significant impact on the score you receive. You can also select the version of the song that you want to listen to. You can choose between the VIRTUAL SINGER and SEKAI versions, each with its own set of vocals. Along with the version, there will be an option to play or not play the 3D music video in the background. You can also set the music to play automatically by selecting ‘Auto.’ This comes for one Bonus Energy, and you can only use it a certain number of times.

Playing Hatsune Miku: COLORFUL STAGE:
The live performances’ gameplay consists of tapping colorful rectangles that represent notes. These notes move slowly or quickly downwards toward a ‘tap zone,’ depending on the note speed you’ve specified. To earn points, you must tap the note as soon as it lands in the zone.
In the game, there are many types of notes that need different actions when they reach the tap zone.
- Blue: all you have to do is tap them.
- Yellow: you get more points.
- Pink: have to be flicked upwards.
- Green: need you to hold the note, follow its path, and then let go once it concludes.
Each note you tap receives one of five ratings: Perfect, Great, Good, Bad, or Miss. The rating you receive is determined by how near your tap is to the tap zone. Your Combo counter increases when you get a Perfect”, or ‘”Great” rating. The more combos you have, the greater your score will be. The combo will immediately reset to zero if you get at least one Great or lower rating. When you fail to tap the note at all, you will receive a “Miss” grade. Your life bar will be depleted as a result of this. When your life bar is completely depleted, you can either spend Crystals to resume where you left off or restart the song from the beginning.

Exploring the Sekai in Hatsune Miku: COLORFUL STAGE!:
Stage, Street, School, Wonderland, and Empty are the five Sekais that can currently be explored. You can have a brief conversation with the tale characters in each Sekai in exchange for Crystals and even points to help them rank up their group. You can travel between different Sekais and the actual world. You can find and interact with the characters from the main tale in each of those worlds, as well as purchase enhancements for them in the shops.

Each Sekai also features a shop where you may purchase Sekai decorations. The decorations are linked to a specific character and purchasing one grants advantages to that character’s talent, which boosts your overall score after doing live concerts. Coins and charms are required for decoration. Cute, Cool, Pure, Happy, and Mysterious are the five charms available in the game. As a reward for performing live shows, you can earn more charms. There is also an outfit shop present for you to buy outfits for your favorite character.
