Mobile gamers in China will soon be able to get their hands on Harry Potter: Magic Awakened. Along with China, the game will also be released in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macao.
NetEase Games confirmed Harry Potter: Magic Awakened in 2020 and then released a beta version for it in May of the same year. The developers had planned to release the game in early 2021 but due to the pandemic, those plans took a hit. Some believed that the developers had reworked the game and that is what resulted in the delay. Whatever might have been the reason(s) today, the game is almost ready for release, and on the 9th of September, it will finally be available to mobile gamers in China.

Harry Potter: Magic Awakened takes place after the second Wizarding war. The player controls a character who is a student and has received his Hogwarts invitation. It is a card battle RPG in which the player can enroll for subjects of his/her choice at Hogwarts, explore iconic places from the Wizarding World such as the Diagon Alley or the Forbidden Forest, and do a lot more. The game features vibrant and colorful visuals along with an upbeat soundtrack which enhances the experience. The player is also required to demonstrate skill and good judgment to complete tasks and win battles. As the player progresses through the game, the character learns more chants and spells to do more things. The game also has a multiplayer mode. Challenges in the multiplayer mode require the players to develop their communication skills and work as a team.

The release in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macao will be happening on the 9th of September. A global release will follow, but details about it are not known yet. As of now, the game is open for pre-registration in China as well.
