Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition is a compilation of three major Grand Theft Auto gaming productions. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto III are the three games included in the trilogy. GTA III follows an unknown protagonist in Liberty City. Vice City follows Tommy Vercetti, a former mobster who is just released from jail, as he sets out to take over the city. Set in 1992, San Andreas follows gangster Carl “CJ” Johnson as he moves between the three different cities of Los Santos – which are modeled on real-life locations including Compton and Oakland – Los Venturas, and Las Venturas. Grove Street Games is responsible for the compilation of all three games. Rockstar Games is responsible for the publishment of the game on PC and console platforms.
Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy is coming on mobile platforms
The game released for PC and gaming consoles and was also confirmed for mobile. However, the iOS and Android versions were not released. But just recently, in Take-Two Interactive’s fiscal results for the first quarter of 2023, it has been listed for release before March 31st, 2023. So it sounds like they have been silent about the mobile ports because they were planning to release them at the same time. The iOS and Android versions of the game were originally scheduled for release in the first half of 2022, but for mobile devices, it will now be released before March 31, 2023. The console version of the game came out at $59.99, so it will be interesting to see what the mobile games cost. Will they just be sold separately? Or maybe as a trilogy bundle? Only time will tell.
