Genshin Impact 2.6 drops in almost two days now, and we already have our new characters introduced. Yelan and Kuki Shinobu have just been confirmed to be in the Genshin Impact 2.7 version. This has been a pattern by Hoyoverse for the last few months to tease new characters right before the next patch drops on their official Twitter account. Some players refer to as “drip marketing.” You must be really curious to know about those characters, so let’s get into it!
About Yelan:

Yelan is going to be the new 5-star character to appear in the Genshin Impact Version 2.7. She bears the Hydro Vision and uses a Bow as the weapon of her choice. This isn’t new to the game as we already have Tartaglia or Childe as a Hydro Bow user. She is from Liyue and is a mysterious individual who claims to be working for the Ministry of Civil Affairs. Yelan’s true identity has always been shrouded in secrecy. She frequently comes in various guises at the core of events and then vanishes before the storm passes. There is not much information out right now about her. As we find out ourselves, we’ll make sure to update you all.

She has, in fact, been leaked for quite some time, with a T-posing character model. Along with that, her signature weapon was also leaked. It also said she will be available to blast enemies from afar, like Ganyu, but that information is subject to change.
About Kuki Shinobu:

Kuki Shinobu is an upcoming 4-star character who is a Sword user carrying the Electro vision. She is from Inazuma and the deputy leader of the Arataki Gang. Shinobu translates to Ninja, and her character artwork also reflects that. She, unlike the rest of her family, who work as shrine maidens, has dabbled in a variety of trades, studied in Liyue, and even joined the Arataki Gang.
Shinobu is in charge of keeping the gang in control, compensating for any losses incurred as a result of Itto’s antics, rescuing the gang from sticky situations, and bailing Itto out of jail. While Itto is displeased that she has taken away his prizes, he appreciates that she has helped him and the others avoid legal trouble. When she gets sufficiently enraged, she is also indicated to be fearsome.
Ending Note:
We don’t have any fresh information on gameplay for either character, but as soon as we do, we’ll let you know. Both have been confirmed for 2.7, which is expected to be released around May 15. Till then, we can explore the new and upcoming region of Chasm and enjoy playing with Ayato, Ayaka, and Venti. Happy Gaming!
