Yet again, Genshin Impact is coming up with another update. This update 1.6 brings in a lot of new features and new a new character named Kazuha. Let’s take a look at what all are new in this update.
What’s new in the upcoming Genshin Impact update?
1. The Islands
The 1.6 updates of Genshin Impact were leaked by the same person who leaked the Maguu Kenki Fight, AE Entropy. The leaks show Kazuha, the upcoming character, standing on the edge of the Islands. The island seems like they are partially or fully submerged in water. If this feature makes it to Genshin Impact, the players will have to adapt to the changes.

This feature is the first-ever time that players will have to face a challenge like this. The main challenge will be transportation. One of the methods being added in the upcoming 1.6 update is the Mystic Skiff.
2. The Mystic Skiff In Genshin Impact
The Mystical Skiff is a mysterious water vehicle. A player can summon it by using a skiff waypoint, which is also a new feature to Genshin Impact. But, only one person will be able to ride on a skiff, and it is unknown if customization options will be available on the Skiff. The Skiff does come with 2 cannons, a fast one and the other a slightly slower one. The Skiff can be used in Co-op too.

The Skiff is a very mysterious waterborne vehicle that can be summoned to its skipper’s side using a Skiff Waypoint.
One person can only own one Skiff.

3. Skiff Waypoints
The Skiff waypoint is a new feature in Genshin Impact that allows a player to summon a skiff so that they can navigate waters in the Archipelago region. The area of the Skiff waypoint is like a point between Liyue, and Inazuma. This hiddenness means that players will have to explore a wide area to reach a Skiff Waypoint because the Skiff Waypoint most likely be in plain sight.
Skiff Waypoint can be used to summon a skiff that can navigate the waters in a new archipelago region (not Inazuma).
About the skiff:
1. It is armed with two cannons – one fast, one slow.
2. It gets damaged over time at sea, but can be repaired.
3. Can be used in co-op mode. pic.twitter.com/hn8Fg4Bgb3— Genshin Intel (@Genshin_Intel) April 28, 2021

4. The Archipelago Quest
The Archipelago Quest, which was leaked by Genshin Impact Info and Updates on Facebook. Their posts reveal more on how players will be able to move around or navigate or explore, and adventure the Archipelago. Pudding Isle is the name of this new area. The posts also show the quests that a player will have to complete. So, players will have to make use of their Mystical Skiff and enter Boarding Waypoints to travel across the seas and light up devices to create a safe harbor for landing.
Quest 1
At the moment, we only have info on the first quest, courtesy of Genshin Impact Info and Updates. The first quest states that the player must steam ahead across the shifting tides of Pudding Isle, and at the same time, clear waypoints. The main quest will be to reach the island, and as players complete these quests, they will be able to have access to different parts of the Isle, and at the same time, open up Skiff waypoints.

Ending Note
Update 1.6 of Genshin Impact is sure to bring in a lot of players. The new map along with the new characters, make the upcoming update a good and interesting one. Granted, we might not know what will make it to the game, but I am sure that miHoYo has something big planned.
