Developer Square Enix first announced Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier back in February, since then the game has built up a lot of hype and speculation. Today, finally, Square Enix has cleared some of the fog around the game as they announced the release period and the pre-registration period. The game will go live on both Android and iOS in November and will be available for pre-registration this month only.

Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier is a battle royale game set 30 years before the events of the original game. The game has been in a closed beta for some time now, and Square Enix was implementing changes based on the feedback from there. One of the main changes that the game will feature is controller support. According to Square Enix, this was the most requested feature, and therefore they have gone ahead and implemented it. The game will feature both standard and ra nked matches. There will not be any actual story mode, but the game will feature a mode that will tie the characters into the Final Fantasy storyline.
Along with these modes, the game will also feature a revamped tutorial for the newbies of the battle royale genre. Lastly, there will be a training mode and a new Ninja melee combat style.
