Basic Gameplay Guide for Duelyst
After you install and open the game, it will load for a few minutes and will ask you to log in. You log in using your google play account or Duelyst account. You can create a Duelyst account if you do not have one. Now, you will be taken to the homepage where you will find several options. Here, you can play, build your deck, fix game settings, open your game profile, watch the ladder, check out the Gauntlet, access the game’s discord server, add in-game friends, and finally, you can log out of your profile.
If you click play, you will have different options to choose from. You can practice your game. You can play ranked ladder to compete against other players on the ladder to rise through the league. Players can hit the Gauntlet to draft a deck to complete it and outlast their rivals. Finally, there is a PvP battle arena where players can directly challenge another player to a match. We recommend you play the practice battle first to equip yourself with the game’s settings. In the first stage, pick your cards to begin the battle. This game is kind of similar to chess where you can not afford to lose your main character who is like the king. He will have more health and attack powers compared to others but you need to defend his life and kill the other king to win the game.
Play Practice Games
Before stepping into the PvP battles or rank ladder matches, you first need to familiarize yourself with the game. You do this by taking the practice matches. These practice matches themselves are difficult to play and will teach you a ton of tips and tricks. The game features 3 practice/examples decks from which you can practice the game. Each deck will have a different number of minions and different difficulty levels with various spells, artifacts, etc.
Pick the Right Cards and Spells
The game is all about how you pick and place your cards and spells. Since this is a card game, your deck will have different sets of cards featuring different minions and spells. These minions are kind of your soldiers like in chess. You can place these minions in appropriate positions and use them to attack your enemy soldiers. These minions also protect you from the other soldiers attacking your king’s character. There are also spell cards that have different uses. You can use these spells to increase your life, increase your minions’ life, transfer your life or attack power to the minions, decrease the life of your enemy, etc.
