Diablo Immortal is a mobile hack and slash role-playing game that is developed jointly by Blizzard and NetEase. The game was announced way back in 2018 with an expected launch date within a year, which obviously never happened.
When the game was announced, Blizzard faced quite a hard time as the franchise fans did not wanted a mobile game. If you look at the official social media posts and videos related to Diablo Immortal, you will find more dislikes than likes.
Even though the game is running late by more than two years, many mobile players are still excited for this game. And finally, Diablo Immortal is here; it’s in a physical form where players can play it. However, only an Alpha version of the game has been launched, which means only a few selected players can try it out.
But that’s still good news because at least the Diablo Immortal Alpha version is here, which means we can be pretty sure that the game will launch globally in 2021.
Diablo Immortal Alpha Version launched
Blizzard on their official website announced that they are launching an Alpha Version of Diablo Immortal, which will be available to a small number of players from Australia who have already pre-registered for the app.
Blizzard stated that this alpha version of the game would run for a couple of weeks and help the company test the server stability and client performance across various devices. Furthermore, the company will look at player feedback and work to improve Diablo Immortal further.
Diablo Immortal Is A Free-To-Play Game
Rumors were going on around the community that Diablo Immortal will be a premium game, but the developers have made it very clear that it will be a completely free-to-play game with optional in-app purchases. The game’s core mechanics are designed to be fun first, and purchases will never circumvent the gameplay.
Blizzard said that they plan to support Diablo Immortal with a regular cadence of free content – new gears, classes, stories, and areas to explore and features.
When will Diablo Immortal Release Globally?
Unfortunately, Blizzard, being Blizzard, said that they have no information to share about the release. However, now that Alpha Version is here, we are pretty sure Diablo Immortal will be releasing globally somewhere in Q3 or Q4 of 2021.
