Almost 2 years after the release of Call of Duty: Mobile, Activision Blizzard has now announced a new title for the series. Moreover, Activision has also announced a new internal mobile studio. Activision’s president, Rob Kostich recently talked about growing in the mobile gaming market. He also talked about connecting mobile games to the overall COD ecosystem.
“As we think about long-term, where we see more compelling growth on the platform, I’d say we believe there’s an opportunity to better connect mobile to the overall Call of Duty ecosystem, and we’re aggressively hiring talent to help on this journey.”

He then talked about Activision Blizzard’s new studio as well.
“We’ve created our own internal mobile studio and are driving a major recruiting effort, across Beenox and Activision Shanghai to support as well, and together these teams are leading an unannounced new mobile project in the Call of Duty franchise which we’re very excited about.”

Call of Duty: Mobile performance:
CoD: Mobile was released in a market that was greatly dominated by a giant like PUBG Mobile, yet it managed to make a place for itself. The game has over 500 million downloads on Google’s play store, and that is not all. CoD Mobile was the fastest game to reach 100 million downloads as well. It has also generated a revenue of over $1 Billion since its launch. These mammoth numbers justify Activision Blizzard’s interest in investing in the mobile gaming market.
The New Game:
As of now, Activision Blizzard has neither revealed the name nor given a timeline for its release. Fans believe that the game will be a AAA title, as Activision is keen on pushing mobile gaming’s boundaries.
