Among Us was released on June 15th, 2018, and gained recognition through various platforms. Innersloth, the developer has put 10 or 15 crewmates together on a spaceship to complete their task. Among those crewmates are two or more imposters whose job is not to complete tasks but to kill everyone on board. In those 10 or 15 crewmates are only two or three imposters who have a very tough job to do. Just killing is not all they have to do; among a bunch of people, they have to blend well so that no one suspects them. So, to help the imposter ace the gameplay here are some tips and tricks.
1 Gain Trust
The first and foremost thing you have to do is to gain the trust of the people on board. If no one suspects you, your job will be very easy. For example, when everybody trusts you and only one is accusing you of venting or killing a crewmate you will see everyone is backing you up instead of trusting the truth.
2 Sabotage is your best friend
Whenever someone finds out you are an imposter and they are going to press the emergency meeting, all you have to do is to use the sabotage. For example, you have vented and somebody saw you through cameras. The best way is to sabotage and then kill them. The sabotage will keep others occupied which in turn will give you time to kill and be saved. Another example can be, your killer countdown is going on and you cannot kill someone you want to. Then sabotage is your friend.
3 Vent is your escape route
The best advice is not to use vent very frequently. But vents can be used as an escape route. As you know the vents connect every room with one another. It may happen that your board members already know the route of each and every vent. So the best thing is to enter a room vent↦kill↦vent↦back to the room. This will raise less suspension.
4 Work as a team
Always work as a team with another imposter. Moving around with another imposter will give you a chance to double kill in the same spot, which will make the game very easy for you.
5 Take an active part in meetings
Always take an active part in an emergency meeting or normal meeting. Never accused anyone without proof. Agree when everyone says it’s another person, may it be your partner. This will help you come clean in the eyes of your crewmates. Even if you are accused in a meeting you have to play with words then. Moreover, save the best words for the last.
6 Avoid places where the camera is placed
Never make the mistake of coming out of vent where there is a camera. This will expose you and give you unwanted attention.
