Last year Innersloth announced that they would be releasing a brand new map called ‘Airship’ in Among Us soon. Since the first day of 2021, players have been asking when this new map is coming to the game. And finally, the developers have revealed the among us airship map release date.
Among Us Airship map release date announced
The developers have announced that the new Airship Map will be added to Among Us on March 31, 2021. The announcement was made on the official website of the game as well as social media channels. The airship will be the 4th map in Among Us, and it will be the biggest map as well. Unlike other maps, the Airship map will feature many new elements such as moving platforms, different spawning locations, new tasks, etc.
In the dev log, the developers have also apologized for the delay in releasing this new map. They quoted that their team consists of only five members, and they wanted to make sure that the new map works perfectly on both PC and Mobile and players can easily cross-play. This is why it took a little longer than expected.
March update to bring account system
As we told you in one of our previous posts, the developers have been working on an in-game account system for a long time. In the march update of Among Us, the account system will be finally released. This feature will help players to add other players as friends and quickly invite them to the lobby. At the same time, this account system will help to identify and ban cheaters in the game. Players will now even be able to report cheaters from inside the game itself.
New Cosmetic items
The March among us update will bring lots of new cosmetic items in the game that you can purchase via real cash. But the developers have not forgotten about the free-to-play players; they have promised that they will be adding a few free hats into the game.
