Gameplay
Two civilian apes named Deputy Roger and Captain Scott will guide you in the game. The game’s map is blocked by fog, smoke, and, mists which will vanish as you progress with various missions to save the civilians. Complete each Chapter Quests to build progress on the map, develop the city and increase your power.
Capture buildings to save innocent civilians. Simply swipe on buildings to establish dominance. Apes are going to fight along the pathway to occupy the building. Try and take over every building using strategies. Swipe to sever pathways. Occupy every building to win. If there are survivors, they will join your side. Do not forget to fuel up to recover strength after every fight.
Unlock new troops and train them to protect your city from mutants.

Below are some tips to help you get started.
Tip #1- Spectrometer
Chapter 5 leads to the Spectrometer. This instrument was built by humans and can detect radiation levels. The Spectrometer keeps the apes safe from radiation within a circle of radius of 5km. Upgrade the Spectrometer and increase the capacity of the parade ground by using Spectrum Chips.
Tip #2- Mutant Apes
Tons of mutants gather in buildings to attack civilian monkeys. They pose a serious threat to the city and are always angry. Challenge them and help out the survivor civilian monkeys. Destroy these mutant lairs to stock up on supplies and gain your rescue’s loyalty to the ape troops.
Rubble Mutant roams the rubbles and raids civilian monkeys. You need to defeat them before they wreak havoc on the city.
Tip #3- Know the Buildings of the City
one of the main tasks included capturing Buildings. When a building has 3 white dots, you can connect three pathways at once. Shooter Buildings attack all enemies that enter within range but they cannot connect pathways to attack. Wall breakers deal double damage to enemy buildings.
Set up your base in the abandoned City Halls. Collect enough Iron to build these buildings. Reinforce Defense Walls to keep your territory protected against mutants. These will be demolished when an area is cleared for safety. Build Medical Stations to treat wounded monkeys from battles. Use Speed Up rewards to develop cities faster.
Tip #4- Resources
The main resources include Food and Iron, which you can get after completing each quest in the Chapters. Collect Iron from the scraps and tins lying around the city premises and from completing quests. Iron Pile is a resource building that can provide additional materials.
The City Hall stores and provides food for the soldiers and survivors. So do not forget to upgrade the City Hall now and then in between Chapters to expand the storage capacities.
Overview
The story of Age of Apes begins with humans fleeing Earth and migrating to another planet after the nuclear war. Left behind were the Apekind. Monkeys live under rampant radiation and came to dominate the world. Prolonged radiation gave the apes advanced intelligence but it can also cause genetic mutations like turning monkeys into monsters. The scouts discovered a spectrometer that can prevent radiation. You have to save the civilians from the mutant apes through your skills and strategies.
