Call of Duty Mobile was released in October 2019, and since the very first day of the release, the players wanted Esports tournaments of the game. Activision responded to the player demands and announced the Call of Duty Mobile World Championship in April 2020.
The tournament’s prize pool was set at 1 Million USD, and the tournament was divided into five stages. The starting four stages (qualifiers) of the tournament have already been conducted, and now only Stage 5 (Finals) is left.

Finals were supposed to be a LAN event; however, Activision has just announced that they have decided to Cancel COD Mobile World Championship 2020.
Call of Duty Mobile World Championship Cancelled
Via its official website, Activision has just announced that they have decided to cancel the Finals of the COD Mobile World Championship 2020 on their official website. The company stated that their highest priority is the well-being of the players, fans, and communities worldwide. Due to the current COVID-19 crisis globally, they do now want to take any risk by hosting a live event.

What will happen to the Prize Pool of the COD Mobile Championship?
Activision has stated that 1 Million Dollars’ prize money will now be equally divided between the teams that qualified for the finals.
Teams qualified for finals of COD mobile world Championship
After multiple rounds of solo, team, and regional qualifiers, a total of 7 teams qualified for the COD Mobile World Championship 2020. They were scheduled to fight for the massive prize pool in the finals. However, as the finals have been cancelled, the tournament’s prize money will be divided equally between them.
The seven teams that qualified for Call of Duty Mobile World Championship 2020 are:
- Tribe Gaming (North America)
- Influence Rage (LATAM)
- Rejection (Japan)
- Kings Clan (Western Europe)
- T1 (South Korea)
- NRX JEREMIAH 29:11 (SEA)
- Team Mayhem (Other regions – India)
