A few weeks ago, we told you about the latest installment in the Touchgrind franchise, Touchgrind Scooter, which was launched for mobile devices by Illusion Labs. Maybe you were a bit late to start playing? Or are you new to the franchise? Fear not; our guides will help you know everything about the game. These will also help you keep your scores unbeatable, finish more challenges, and beat even more rivals in the game’s PvE mode.
1 Learn The Basics
When you start the game, Touchgrind Scooter shows you the simple steps to move your Scooter. Swiping each finger allows you to perform some basic tricks. Once again, placing both fingers on the Scooter’s board will enable you to catch the board and land safe. Be careful; otherwise, you might crash! If you do, you will have to start all over again. So make sure you keep your basics correct and not bump into obstacles or make poor landings.
2 Increase Your Scores Through Multipliers Without Crashing
Freestyle mode is one of the most basic modes in Touchgrind Scooter which the players will most likely be playing more often than any other mode. Until level 2, it’ll be the only mode the players can play before advancing to others. In this mode, the goal is to score the maximum points before crossing the finish line. Here, there is no time limit but a finish line for every path. Higher scores and new trophies at the end will allow the players to level up faster and unlock more features.
3 Beware of Consequences of Crashing in Freestyle
While pulling off a trick in Touchgrind Scooter and scoring points in the process, there’s one essential thing you need to keep in mind – landing. Even if you score a lot of points with your cool moves but end up crashing due to a bad landing, those points will not count! So stay aware of ramps, rails, and other surfaces.

4 Control Your Board According To The Situation
Many players make mistakes about finger placement. It needs to be noted that the players will only need to use both fingers on the board while landing. It is unnecessary to put both fingers pressed down on the board at every moment during a run. You can let go of the board and simply make turns by gently moving the board with one finger.
5 Don’t Try Too Hard To Grind
Grinding is the process of sliding your scooter across a surface with the trucks, without the wheels of the board. We do not advise deliberately chasing those grind opportunities. Grinding is quite tricky to pull off and it works best if you’re able to grind naturally in the progression of things. You do not want to end any given run with an unnecessary pratfall. Don’t force it. Let it come effortlessly.

6 Increase Levels To Unlock More Locations
Increasing the player levels helps unlock new game modes and new locations or courses). The Park, followed by Hillside, opened once the players reached the third level. Once the players reach level 7, they can play The Plaza. The Harbour, Downtown, Carnival, and Nightlife locations will need real money to unlock them.
7 Cosmetic Items Like Gear, Scooters, And Other Freebies Are Optional
All the rewards, regardless of the rarity (Standard, Epic, or Legendary) of your unlocked items, whether it is a new gear like headlights, teddy bears, etc., a new scooter, or whatnot, none of these will result in any kind of improved performance. So do not worry or spend on such items believing they will help your runs. Instead, you should focus on improving their own skills and controls.

8 Check Scooter Market For Good Deals
This is entirely optional. The players can visit the Scooter Market for limited-time bundles that allow them to add to the collection of unlocked scooters, gear, and avatars. The decoration bundle costs $6 and comes with one Standard scooter and six gear pieces. The Equilibrium bundle is more expensive at $11 and features four Standard scooters, four gear pieces, and four avatars.
9 Use Versus Mode To Test Yourself Against Others
Once the players reach level 6, Versus mode is unlocked. This mode allows the players to challenge other human players. Versus matches take place in real-time, and it helps outscore your opponents on the course of your choosing. It is basically about increasing your winning percentage and coming up with the best possible score. However, keep your connection good, otherwise, it may cause performance issues.
10 Use The “How To Button” If You Forget
You’ll find all the tricks you can perform in the game; tap on any one of the tricks under Basics, Scooter Flips, Rider Flips, and so on, and you will be presented with how to perform them. This is the easiest trick of them all, and you will realize how you can improve and adapt to the basic rules to come up with some of your own styles!
The possibilities are endless in Touchgrind Scooter for you to have fun in the game. You can try different stunts or mix styles and moves to create your own. Touchgrind Scooter also features an entirely original soundtrack by Dennis Hansen, giving a completely immersive and enjoyable experience to scooter enthusiasts. The complete playlist is available on Spotify too!
You can install Touchgrind Scooter from Google Play and Apple App Store for Android devices and Apple devices respectively.
