We have been playing clash quest since the very first day of its soft launch. The game looks pretty easy at the very start but gets challenging quickly. We have seen players complaining that the game is too tough! But trust us, if you play it right, it is not. All the players who are just entering into the game consider this post as a Clash quest beginner’s guide or a tips and tricks article that is sure to give you a push start.
1 Think twice before moving
Each move you make in the clash quest will cost you valuable troops which you can’t get back. So it’s important to think twice before making a move. The game itself provides the player with an opportunity to preview the outcome of their attack in advance. Players can simply click and hold on to the troops to see the outcome of their attack. This is a really important feature, especially for beginner players.
Also, As a player, you can not only preview the outcome of your attacks, but you also can tap and hold on to the enemy defense buildings to see how the attack will impact your troops. This way, you can prioritize taking down the high damage-causing enemy defense buildings first and plan your moves well in advance.
2 Don’t waste troops
I will emphasize once again that every troop in clash quest can make or break the game. It is essential to use every troop correctly. This tip is a bit tough to explain, but I will try my best. So I have seen players focusing on combos, which is undoubtedly a good thing, but the players seem to completely ignore some troops in the front line, and as a result, they die.
When a troop is about to die in the next attack, the game places a skull mark on it to indicate the player. Let’s understand this with an example – Suppose two barbarians are standing on the front line, which will die in the next move, and right behind you have giants, and you are focusing on building a, let’s say, wizard combo in the last line. So here you should use your barbarians this way; you will cause damage to the defense. And when defense attacks, your giants will have enough health, and they won’t die, and then you can continue forming your wizard combo.
Note: We do not mean that you should entirely focus on saving your troops. Sometimes it is important to comprise some troops to create a combo and win the match.
3 Replay early levels
This is a very important trick for free-to-play players like me. So as you progress in Clash Quest, the levels keep getting more challenging. Eventually, you will reach a point when it is impossible to clear the levels without upgrading the troops, and you also don’t have enough coins to upgrade troops.
In such cases, I have seen players just keep trying and failing at the tough level until they run out of energy, which is absolutely the wrong way to play clash quest. If you want to progress faster in the game, you need to upgrade troops to a high level which means you need more gold.
If you play and just get 1 or 2 stars in a level, you will get only a tiny amount of gold. So you better go down a few levels, play it again, clear it with all the 3 stars, and you will get a higher amount of gold. (especially for the levels with gold cart).
4 Use your spells
I have seen most players (even me) not using spells and saving them to be used further in the level. As the match progresses, I reach a point when spells such as ‘swap’ and ‘charge’ are left pretty much useless. So don’t be a miser; use your spells when your feel like. Using spells like Swap can help you create great combos and easily clear a level.
5 Speed up your game
Are you in a hurry? Or you don’t like the slow movement of the troops in clash quest. So, since clash quest is an offline game, you can increase the gameplay speed. The game offers you an option to increase the speed by 2x and 4x. You can increase the speed of the gameplay by simply going into the setting of the game during the gameplay.
